To live out our mission, Crossroads will not hold worship service or youth classes on Sunday, May 14th so together we can donate our worship time in service to community and global needs. You may donate items for the sale May 8-9th and shop the sale May 10-13th from 9:00am-6:00pm.</p> <p><strong>Donate Baked Goods: </strong>Crossroads will sell baked items during the garage sale to raise relief funds for Syria. Those 15 years and older will be assigned to work on their own. Please note how many and the ages of children in the notes field of the registration form.</p> <h3><strong>Waunakee Neighborhood Connection</strong><u> </u></h3> <p>WNC’s mission is to “respect and care for our community by connecting partners and neighbors to provide resources and tools to those in need”. WNC operates a store which takes in donations from the community and then provides those household and personal items free of charge to anyone who might need them. WNC also runs numerous other programs for their clients. Lifting will be involved for some volunteers, others can sit and price or help organize displays. Vehicles are needed to haul items from WNC.</p> <p><strong>Saturday, April 30<sup>th</sup> – 9 a.m. – Noon – Limit 15 people for Outdoor Clean-Up at WNC</strong></p> <p>WNC has a yard and outdoor space that needs pruning, raking, weeding, mowing, and general “outside beautification” for their store. Volunteers are asked to please bring their own tools (pruning shears, rakes, shovels, gloves, etc.), trash bags and/or trash cans.</p> <p><strong>Sunday, May 1<sup>st</sup> – 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Limit 15 people for WNC Store Work</strong></p> <p>Volunteers will be hanging clothes, doing general store organization and sorting, and will be taking in donations for WNC’s garage sale which will be held the following weekend.</p> <h3><strong>Waunakee Senior Center </strong></h3> <p>The Waunakee Senior Center’s purpose is to help older adults remain independent in their own homes and in their communities by supporting them intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
