Entering The Passion
In Entering The Passion of Jesus: A Beginners Guide to Holy Week, author, professor, and biblical scholar Amy-Jill Levine delves into the history and literature surrounding the last days of Jesus' life. Levine sets the narrative in historical context and analyzes the risks and motives of the story's characters. From Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem to his prayerful agony in Gethsemane, Lavine brings forward aspects and details that open doors for beginners as well as seasoned readers of the Bible. She show how the context raises ethical and spiritual questions for the reader, and how we all face risk in our Christian experience.
