SUMMARY:Parking Lot Worship December 20th
DESCRIPTION:We are having a parking lot worship! Although this might not be a traditional worship service\, in the sanctuary\, it is the best we can do right now. We believe that just being on the grounds\, even just the parking lot will provide a meaningful worship experience. \nWe ask that if you come to this worship experience\, you follow some safety guidelines:\n• Please park in every other stall\, leaving space between you and the next car\n• The building (and most importantly\, the bathrooms) will be closed\n• You MUST remain your car at all times\, with the windows closed \nWhen you arrive at the church for the worship service\, you will be reminded of the guidelines and informed of the radio station you need to tune your car to\, 88.3\, so you can hear Pastor Scott’s message. We will send out the bulletin and words to the hymns in the week before the service so you can print out at home and bring with you so you can follow along and participate in the service. \nCLICK HERE to download the bulletin!

SUMMARY:Where We Belong
DESCRIPTION:Advent and Christmas are a sort of homecoming. God found a new home among us in the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ. The dwelling places where we find Christ today can take us by surprise. Sometimes those dwelling places can also be where we experience the most comfort and joy and where we truly belong in creation.

DESCRIPTION:Join Us on 6/16 at 6:16 pm for a Breakthrough Prayer Facebook Live Event! \nIf you listened to Pastor Scott’s May 31 message (https://crossroadswaunakee.org/sermon/break-through-prayer-2/) or gotten your regular mail this week\, you know Crossroads UMC has begun a Breakthrough Prayer Initiative.  Breakthrough prayer is when God’s people join together in intentional prayer asking God to break through whatever holds us back so that we can boldly move forward and fulfill God’s intention for ourselves and the church.  You are invited to be part of this prayer movement by stopping each day at 6:16 am or 6:16 pm to read the scripture and prayer on the card mailed this week (or\, see below). \nIn addition\, on June 16 (6/16) at 6:16 pm you are invited to be in your car in the Crossroads UMC parking lot and pray the breakthrough prayer together.  This event will be streamed LIVE via Facebook\, and after the prayer\, we will (safely) hand out prayer reminder SWAG (Stuff We All Get) through your car windows. \nThen\, don’t forget to contact the church office or Pastor Scott over the next few weeks and months to let us know where you have seen God breakthrough in your life.

SUMMARY:God's Dysfunctional Family
DESCRIPTION:Summer is a time for family reunions. For some\, family reunions are fun and fulfilling. For others\, they are uncomfortable or even painful. We all have some dysfunction in our families. We have stories that we’d rather not tell. In the stories of Genesis\, we discover God’s chosen family – those first generations of Israel – had struggles\, secrets\, sibling rivalries\, and even threats of murder. As we explore these rich and ancient stories\, we see how God works through and in spite of family dysfunction to bring about God’s purposes for the world\, and we find hope for God’s presence and movement in our own families.
