The Crossroads Women's Group is having a meeting on Monday, January 8th at 6:30 pm at which Pastor Kristen Lowe will be giving a presentation on "Why Water Matters". Kristen will be sharing some of the information she learned at a conference she attended in November on the subject. You are encouraged to bring a small container of water you are concerned about to the meeting. Community is welcome, and all women are encouraged to bring a friend!
Love to quilt or sew? Have never tried but want to learn? Join the Crossroads' Quilters on the second Saturday of every month from 10:00am - 2:00pm or the fourth Thursday of the month from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. The group makes baby quilts for baptisms, quilts of Valor for our veterans, and crafts for missions. There are projects for all ability levels. Please feel free to join at any time. The groups next meets this Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Quilting is done in the basement of the church, so join us just in the back door of the church.
Quilts of Valor (QOV) National Sew Day is February 3rd. Waunakee’s local QOV group, Quilting at the Crossroads, is participating in this event to make quilts for veterans and active duty service members. It will be at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 5901 Hogan Rd, Waunakee. (lower level, around back) You can attend all day or drop in as your schedule permits. Please register for this event with the button the right so we set up enough tables. Cash donations or gift cards for fabric are greatly appreciated. QOV is a 501.C(3) nonprofit organization funded by volunteers and donations.
