SUMMARY:Parking Lot Worship
DESCRIPTION:We are having a parking lot worship! Although this might not be a traditional worship service\, in the sanctuary\, it is the best we can do right now. We believe that just being on the grounds\, even just the parking lot will provide a meaningful worship experience. \nWe ask that if you come to this worship experience\, you follow some safety guidelines:\n• Please park in every other stall\, leaving space between you and the next car\n• The building (and most importantly\, the bathrooms) will be closed\n• You MUST remain your car at all times\, with the windows closed \nWhen you arrive at the church for the worship service\, you will be reminded of the guidelines and informed of the radio station you need to tune your car to\, 88.3\, so you can hear Pastor Scott’s message. We will send out the bulletin and words to the hymns in the week before the service so you can print out at home and bring with you so you can follow along and participate in the service. \nCLICK HERE to download a copy of the bulletin!

SUMMARY:God's Dysfunctional Family
DESCRIPTION:Summer is a time for family reunions. For some\, family reunions are fun and fulfilling. For others\, they are uncomfortable or even painful. We all have some dysfunction in our families. We have stories that we’d rather not tell. In the stories of Genesis\, we discover God’s chosen family – those first generations of Israel – had struggles\, secrets\, sibling rivalries\, and even threats of murder. As we explore these rich and ancient stories\, we see how God works through and in spite of family dysfunction to bring about God’s purposes for the world\, and we find hope for God’s presence and movement in our own families.

SUMMARY:New Year\, Same Promises!
DESCRIPTION:“New Year\, new you”: this is the message we get from pop culture\, year after year. We vow to make changes to our diet\, exercise habits or lifestyle\, but instead of those resolutions\, most things stay the same. This may be cause for disappointment\, but there is some consistency we can celebrate. God’s promises to us do not change with the calendar or the latest fitness trend. Rather than focusing our energy and attention on making (an in all likelihood breaking) promises to ourselves\, come to Crossroads for our “New Year\, Same Promises” series\, and let’s spend the first part of the new year learning about and appreciating God’s unbreakable promises.

SUMMARY:Kat Trio
DESCRIPTION:The Kat Trio comes to Crossroads! \nAbout: This unique classical ensemble known as the Ekaterinburg Classical Trio\, aka the Kat Trio\, was born in the summer of 1998 in Ekaterinburg\, Russia. Vasil Galiulin\, Victoria Gorbich\, and Vladislav Gorbich\, all graduates of the Ural State Conservatory\, decided to take their love of music and their violin-clarinet-piano arrangements to festivals and concert venues throughout the Urals. They spent much of that summer playing to enthusiastic audiences in town halls and indoor stages. \nThe audience feedback was encouraging\, even inspiring\, all the while reinforcing the overpowering feeling that their calling was to take their new impressions of classical music and their heartfelt performances to a much greater audience. Their first US tour in the spring of 2000 was a major success and these world class players return as often as possible to play for their appreciative American audiences. \nOn the Kat Trio’s 2006 Tour of the US\, violinist Victoria Gorbich and clarinetist Vladislav Gorbich were joined by pianist Viatcheslav Ovchinnikov. Like Victoria and Vlad\, Viatcheslav (nickname: Slava) is a graduate of Ural State Conservatory in Ekaterinburg. \nDuring their work on doctorates at Arizona State University\, Victoria and Vladislav Gorbich were joined by pianist Mauricio Arias\, from Bogata\, Columbia\, a graduate of Fundacion Universitaria Juan N. Corpas\, for two tours. \nVictoria and Vladislav were touring during the summer of 2010 with Patrick Christians\, a graduate of Michigan State University\, as guest pianist. \nDuring 2011-2012\, the Kat Trio was touring as artists-in-residence with Wisconsin Public Radio and the Chazen Museum of Art. For that tour Victoria and Vladislav were joined by pianist Julie Page\, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. \nPianist Melody Ng was a member of the trio from October 2012 till June 2013. She received her doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and joined the music faculty of the University of Alabama in Huntsville. \nDuring the summer of 2013 Heidi Wiskur was a guest pianist with the group. She continues to collaborate with Victoria and Vladislav in 2013 and 2014. \nJustin Snyder has been performing with Vladislav and Victoria since fall of 2013. Justin moved to Michigan in early summer of 2014. \nToday “The Kat Trio” is Victoria Gorbich\, Vladislav Gorbich and pianist Joseph Ross. They are on the road presenting the trio’s unique Russian arrangements and transcriptions of timeless melodies. The Trio’s concerts feature classical works\, well-known inspirational songs\, and even American pop standards\, including Scott Joplin’s rags.

SUMMARY:Entering The Passion

This bible study will have two different groups. One group will meet Wednesday MORNINGS at 10 am. The other group will meet Wednesday EVENINGS for Soup and Study at 5:45pm.
