All individuals and organizations are invited to attend a state-wide “Social Action Day” Watch Party (live streamed event) at Crossroads United Methodist Church, at 5901 Hogan Rd, Waunakee, WI, on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00am-Noon to hear from two local experts who will share information about how we can care for and support our immigrant neighbors.
Attorney Grant Sovern, is a founding member and Board President of the Community Immigration Law Center (CILC – pronounced “silk”). Grant will be sharing a presentation on “Immigration in Wisconsin – Standing Up for Due Process”.
Rev. Breanna Illéné is ordained in the United Methodist Church, and presently is the Director of Ecumenical Innovation and Justice Initiatives at the Wisconsin Council of Churches (WCC) where she leads the WCC’s advocacy work. Breanna will present information on “How We Can Take Action on Immigration in our Own Communities”.
Those interested in attending are asked to register in advance online or by downloading and mailing in this form. You can also register the day of the event starting at 8:30am at Crossroads UMC. On your registration, please choose to attend at the Watch Party at South West: Waunakee Crossroads UMC.
Snacks and beverages will be available throughout the event, and childcare is available upon request. A suggested donation of $10 can be paid online or via check or cash for mailed or in person registrations. Financial assistance is available upon request.
