Help Us Make Quilted Hugs!

The quilting group and the care team have joined forces for a project to provide love and care to people in crisis in our congregation, by making “Quilted Hugs”.  These hugs are fleece lined shoulder wraps that are quilted with beautiful colors on the front and are a way for our church family to know we are thinking of them, praying for them and that God is wrapping his arms around them as they go through difficult times.  A sample of a quilted hug is pictured here.

Please come Friday, May 18 or Saturday, May 19 from 10am-4pm each day to help in preparing materials and assembling these quilts.  You can come and go throughout the day as your schedule allows and you do not need to have quilting or sewing experience to help.  Our goal is to make 24 quilted hugs for distribution to our congregation, but we cannot do this project alone.  We hope that you will join in the experience of bringing love and joy to our church family.

If you know ahead of time which day(s) you are coming, please call or email the office or note the days on your connection card in worship, or by clicking the button on the right.  This will help us plan space and materials needed each day.  However, please still come either or both days regardless if you have a chance to sign-up in advance.   We look forward to working on this project with you!
