What To Expect

Hi!  I’m Pastor Kristen Lowe!

I’d like to personally welcome you to Crossroads United Methodist Church.  We worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 – please come as you are!  I hope that every person who comes to worship will leave with a fresh perspective of purpose and God’s plan for their life along with the tools needed to grow in Christian Discipleship.  Church for Crossroads is more than just Sunday mornings.  Church is a verb.  It’s about active discipleship, it’s about being church, not just going to church.  Crossroads is a place to get connected and grow together with others.  Jesus said, “I am the vine and you are the branches.”  I believe that God’s dreams are way bigger than our dreams and that God has a plan and purpose for each person.  Welcome to Crossroads; a place where people connect, hearts are ignited, and lives are transformed.  You are welcome here!

All are welcome at Crossroads – all people, all doubts, all questions.  Come as you are and join in a community of people looking for authentic relationships and a meaning and purpose in life that we believe can only be found in Christ.

The information on this page is for you know a bit more about what to expect when you visit Crossroads, so your experience can be a positive one. We hope to see you soon!

Crossroads is part of the global United Methodist Church (read more at umc.org).  Crossroads’ congregation comes from a multitude of backgrounds – i.e. non-denominational, no church background, Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians and those without a church home.  No matter whether you have regularly attended a church for years, have been away from the church, or have never attended a church, you are welcome at Crossroads.

Our worship services are held on Sunday’s at 9:30am and last about an hour.

Our typical service is a blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles, using multimedia, relevant and biblically based message series, music from a fantastic choir, familiar hymns and contemporary songs.

We serve communion on the first Sunday of the month.  Methodists believe in an open communion table, which means no matter what you believe, your age or what place you come from, you are welcome at Christ’s table.

Children are always welcome to stay in service with their family.  Activity bags are available at the back of the worship area.

Little one getting fussy during worship?  No worries, we love the sound of children so feel free to stay and enjoy the service.  Otherwise there is a Family Playroom downstairs, equipped with changing table, toys, books and activities for you and your child to enjoy while you listen to the message over our speaker system.

All are welcome to “come as you are” on Sundays.  On a typical Sunday you will see people wearing jeans and t-shirts, suits and ties and everything in between.  Wear what you are comfortable in and join us “as you are”.

Crossroads is on the east side of Waunakee at  the intersection of Hogan Rd. and Arboretum Dr.  Our address is 5901 Hogan Rd., Waunakee 53957. You can easily get to us from Interstate 90/94/39 or State Hwy 113/19.  Please see the map on the left for further directions.

Once you arrive at Crossroads, our parking lot is on the main level of the building.  Handicapped parking is available near the building.  You may drop off at the door where our greeters are available for those who need assistance.

Once you have parked, you will be greeted at the door by a friendly face. Inside, greeters will direct you to the coat rack, bathrooms, coffee and play room as needed, will give you a program and help you find a seat when ready.

While you wait for the service to start you can read about upcoming events in your program or watch them on the screen and fill in as much information as you are comfortable sharing on the Connection Card found inside your program.  Connection Cards are collected during the service.
